Field Trips at Maple Grove
Field trips provide students with the opportunity to learn in new and exciting environments. Our field trips are carefully selected to support students' learning in various areas of the Ontario Curriculum. Please note that all field trips are currently on hold due to COVID-19.
Grade 8 - Quebec City
The highlight of our Grade 8 year is our 3-night trip to Quebec City. Our Grade 8s enjoy staying at the historic Chateau Frontenac, visit the Old City, participate in Circus School, visit the famous Ice Hotel and make a day trip to ski at Mont Ste. Anne's. Grade 7 - Camp Muskoka
Every September, our Grade 7 students visit Camp Muskoka for 2-nights. Students participate in a variety of activities including the high ropes course, hiking, fire building and shelter building. This trip gives our returning and new Grade 7 students opportunity to get to know each other. The cost of this trip is approximately $400.
Grade 6/7 - Horseshoe Valley Ski Trip
Our Grade 6/7 students participate in a winter day trip to Horseshoe Valley Ski Resort. All students receive a ski lesson before hitting the slopes. Students do not need to have prior experience skiing to attend this trip. The cost of this trip is approximately $75.
Grade 4/5 - Glen Eden Ski Trip
Our Grade 4/5 students participate in a winter day trip to Glen Eden Ski Hill in Milton. All students receive a ski lesson. Students do not need to have prior experience skiing to attend this trip. The cost of this trip is approximately $50.

Our Junior students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of trips throughout the year. These trips vary from year to year.

Jungle Sport
Each year, our School Council generously sponsors Jungle Sport at Maple Grove. All students from K-8 have the opportunity to participate in this amazing program!
